She clung to Jason and wouldn’t let go, so, he put his jacket on over her and he brought her home. Up the stairs they went. I would have to go upstairs to visit with her. She was named Indica and she was contented to live upstairs with Jason. Very seldom did she come down stairs, but she thrived. About two years later Jason announced that Indica needed a friend and he was out the door to rescue another cat at the local SPCA. I wasn’t sure if we could handle another but

Most of my adult life was spent with a miniature poodle or two, three or more. My family bred and showed dogs for years. Opie was the last of the poodles that I bred and showed. She was my shadow, my best friend and confidant. She was with me for nearly 17 years. During that time, she and I learned to live with cats. My daughter, Kim, had a cat named Sir. He and Opie were fast friends. My sons choice of pet was of the feline type as well.

The first kitten he brought home was a little bit of a thing. She was a little bit of a thing because someone had shoved her into a utility box and left her there to die. A regular conversation would go on between us. She moved from computer to computer as I moved to complete work at the different computer stations. She’d even give the finish print outs a quick bite leaving holes on the edges. I told clients that she was my quality control and that was the stamp that the pattern page was approved. She was great to work with.

The first three photos came about because she posed for them. We didn’t ask her to do this, she decided to do the poses on her own. Jason was a computer art student and he had to do a photo shoot for a project he was working on. When he was just about
